Hello, I'm Chris, the founder of Oaken Craft. After moving to Devon, I developed a deep passion for ancestral crafts. Constantly inspired by the intelligence of our ancestors, I strive to create everything by hand, honoring traditional methods and materials.
Living off-grid in a beautiful yurt nestled in the woodlands of Dartmoor, I find joy in hearing the owls hoot, cozy winters by the fire, and outdoor baths under the stars. Much of my time is also spent tending to our sheep and chickens, embracing a lifestyle deeply connected to the land.
With the support of my talented partner, who excels in all things wool-related, I have dedicated myself to creating a variety of handcrafted items. Our creations include a wide range of looms, drop spindles, spinning wheels, and more, all produced in our bustling home workshop.
What began as a personal endeavor to sell my products has evolved into a platform for local artisans to showcase and sell their beautiful creations.
