The Kingfisher
The Kingfisher 40cm Rigid Heddle Loom
Handcrafted on Dartmoor from locally sourced oak, the Kingfisher is a solid, dependable loom built with care and precision. Compact and versatile, it’s designed for anyone who values well-made tools and natural materials.
The latest version is assembled using wooden pegs and a handmade hammer, both included in the box. It’s a simple, satisfying way to bring the loom together, creating a clean, screw-free frame that feels strong and well-fitted.
Each loom arrives beautifully sanded and unoiled, ready for you to finish at home. A small bottle of natural finishing oil is included, along with a small saw for trimming the pegs flush once assembled. The moment of oiling is one of the most enjoyable parts—watching the oak deepen in tone and the grain come to life beneath your hands.
(Please note: the photos currently shown are of an earlier version. The loom you receive will be the updated peg-and-hammer design.)
---
